Maps mapping out the graphics of war support
Been short on time for blogging. I have mostly been reading instead of writing.
Here’s Wolf’s post concerning the various roads going out and coming into democracies at war. This war, specifically.

There is a pretty good and detailed review of Hannibal’s Second Punic War that history buffs should read. Seriously, any series of wars that could lead up to the word “punitive” and “punishment” in the modern time should be studied.

It’s interesting to think of the processes that I represented with arrows as roads. There is a way that a road is defined more by the process of traveling over it than by the construction and physical fact of the road itself. Route 66 is famous not for the type of asphalt or the color of the median lines but the places it goes through, the history of it. So too the opposition party is defined more by the centrist game it plays with the polity and by the “too extreme” label it pastes on the party in government and its own fringe supporters, than by its own platform. For in our country today the opposition has no platform other than anti, even now that it is not the opposition but the majority in the national legislature and should be defining the national conversation instead of rudely jeering at it.
Anyway I’ve been refining the conflict maps and should be getting them into blog format shortly.

Weapons and offensive operations tend to be in motion, much as rivers and roads are. They have a destination to go to, inevitably.
Defensive constructions are far more static and they are primarily designed to reinforce and protect something of value. Thus in a zero sum world, like the one in which the Left resides, you must steal from others what you wish for yourself. Power, wealth, glory, etc. . The idea of defense does not even come into the picture, for it is not a feasible means by which the Left can get what they want. The same applies to the Islamic Jihad. They have nothing worth defending, for they have nothing they could or would construct out of raw materials, other than weapons.
Everything that might have been done with reinforcement and protection, is done with malice and first strikes, such as dealing with women in the ME. They don’t wait for them to do something wrong while trying to make lives better, they simply eradicate possibilities of things going wrong once the women are born.
