Distributed networking

This is a pretty strange occurrence. I had heard of BitCoin before, of course, but I hadn’t quite connected all the dots yet.

When I was looking around for a new Geforce or Radeon graphics external (2 slots isn’t really a card any more), I picked up some fun reading.

That’s quite a bit of reading. The executive summary would be thus. Like crowd sourced produced games such as Minecraft (a java game about mining and building), digital currencies rely on computing power (Minecraft was produced using more of a conventional funding scheme from distributed users via a centralized interface and didn’t rely on distributed computing) and distributed networks (the basis of the internet itself) to guarantee security and authenticity. Although like various other simulated universes, there are ways to crack/hack/steal from the stupid to the smart. This is compared to the United States Regime that uses taxes to bank roll evil by sharing the load across 330 million people, so few people ever notice it. This is done via centralized fiat and digital currency, as well as various other things in the Leftist alliance. A simulated free economy, or just a real free economy, tends to burden the dumb and reckless risk takers with most of the losses.

AI (artificial intelligence) will most likely come from distributed networks in the future, not supercomputer cooled laboratories funded by centralized authorities. If one ever did come out of that, it would be psychotic and bent on enslaving humanity, essentially due to how it was created or raised. Although it would be more accurate to call the products of random luck HI or hyper aware intelligences, happenstance intelligence even.

Strangely enough, it was reading about all the money laundering and black market schemes and thefts that convinced me that this was real and wasn’t just an internet fad (like Obamacare). Generally whenever a new frontier is tapped, all the thugs, crooks, and risk taking gamblers get there first. And they got there fast.

Oh, here’s the source time history for the various Geforce and Radeon generations.

I have also heard of the game engine Unity, that uses a similar distributed network of suppliers and consumers.
