Body Structure in Martial Arts

As I said before, there are certain favorite youtube video authors I like on the subject of martial arts.

Balance is very important in martial arts, perhaps one of the base fundamentals to everything else, because you can do so many things if you can control your balance or your enemy’s balance, but you can do little if your balance is off. Especially since power generation, of the Chinese variety, is based upon utilizing your forward momentum, if you are not in balance, you cannot shift your body and use it as a weapon.

Things like what is shown in video is more important than most might think just on a superficial glance. It’s not techniques that matter, but things like this. Base fundamentals that fuel principles or application movements, are what people should focus on if they wish to improve their skill level to a whole new standard.
